This week was another busy one for the AAA Mould Removal team, with eight mould-related projects completed across Sydney.
Our work took us to:
- Blacktown
- Norwest
- Kellyville
- Lane Cove
- Epping
- Panania
- Vaucluse
- Mosman

The projects included a combination of mould inspections, make-safe works, environmental testing, and full mould remediation services for residential and commercial properties affected by water damage and microbial growth.
If you're concerned about mould in your property, our team provides professional "mould inspections" (https://www.aaamouldremoval.com.au/bookmouldinspection), "mould testing" (https://www.aaamouldremoval.com.au/mouldmonitoring), and "mould remediation services" (https://www.aaamouldremoval.com.au/mouldremovalservice) throughout Sydney.
Mould Remediation Completed in Accordance with AS-IICRC S520
For all remediation projects completed this week, works were carried out in accordance with the principles outlined in the AS-IICRC S520:2025 Standard for Professional Mould Remediation.

Our remediation process typically included:
- Moisture source identification and assessment
- Engineering controls and containment where required
- HEPA air filtration
- Removal of mould-contaminated materials
- Detailed HEPA vacuuming
- Surface cleaning and remediation
- Application of Fiberlock IAQ 6000 encapsulant where appropriate
- Final quality assurance inspections
Professional mould remediation is far more than simply wiping away visible mould. Successful outcomes require addressing the underlying moisture source and following a structured remediation process.
To learn more about why proper investigation is critical, read our article: "More Than Meets the Eye: Why a Professional Mould Inspection Is Your First Defence" (https://www.aaamouldremoval.com.au/post/more-than-meets-the-eye-why-a-professional-mould-inspection-is-your-first-defence).
Mould Inspections and Environmental Testing

Several of this week's projects involved detailed mould inspections to assess the extent of contamination and identify hidden moisture issues.
Our assessment process included:
Tape Lift Surface Sampling
Tape lift sampling allows microscopic analysis of visible mould growth and helps determine the presence of fungal structures on building materials and surfaces.
Air-O-Cell Air Sampling
Air-O-Cell sampling is used to assess airborne mould spore concentrations and indoor air quality conditions.
This form of testing can help identify hidden mould issues where visible growth may not be immediately apparent.

Moisture Investigations
Using moisture meters and thermal imaging technology, we investigated moisture intrusion pathways and identified conditions conducive to mould growth.

Addressing moisture is one of the most important steps in preventing mould from returning.
Why Scientific Mould Remediation Matters
Many mould problems are symptoms of underlying building defects, water ingress events, plumbing leaks, condensation issues, or previous flooding.
At AAA Mould Removal, we combine:
- Building science
- Moisture diagnostics
- Air quality assessment
- Professional mould remediation
- Structural drying principles
- Environmental monitoring
For water-damaged buildings, professional drying is often a critical part of the remediation process. Servicing Sydney Wide
This week's projects covered a diverse range of Sydney suburbs including Blacktown, Norwest, Kellyville, Lane Cove, Epping, Panania, Vaucluse, and Mosman.
Our team regularly services:
- Hills District
- Western Sydney
- Inner West Sydney
- Sydney CBD
